Sell My Bowrider

How we price it

What we actually look at

Five things decide what a boat is worth, and only two of them are on the ad. Here is the whole list, so you know the number is not coming out of thin air.

01

Transom

We push on it with the engine tilted. Firm is what you want. Soft or spongy means water has got into the core, and on a trailer boat that is the single most expensive common fault there is.

What it changes: A sound transom is worth more than any amount of polish. A soft one usually costs more to fix than the hull is worth.

Everything above is graded at inspection against the same written standard for every boat, and the grades feed a price built from realised sale results. It is also why we would rather you told us about a fault now: it is priced in either way, and finding it on the day is what changes an offer.
